Siltstone rock sourced from an operating (Donnybrook) quarry located about 29 km north from the city of Melbourne (Victoria, Australia). This very pale orange (moderately weathered) Upper Silurian, siliclastic sedimentary rock is part of the Melbourne Formation originally deposited in a quiet, relatively deep-water marine (outer shelf) environment. Mineralogy of this material consists of predominantly quartz (59%) and muscovite/sericite (23%) with minor vermiculite, phlogopite, plagioclase, K-feldspar and tourmaline. The rock is also anomalous in As, Au, Bi, La, Sb, W and Sn.
