Protecting precious samples during storage and transportation is an essential final step for a wide range of laboratory and clinical applications. Of the various methods for sealing microplates, heat sealing has become the preferred option. It creates an air tight and chemically-resistant seal without the complications of adhesives being applied to a plate.

Engineered for Protection
The Ultraseal™ Pro is designed to safely apply a heat activated sealing film to the top surface of microwell plates or tube racks. The sealing film roll is fed and accurately cut to a desired length, and by means of heat and time-based variables, achieves a tight and secure seal. Customised sealing programs can be password protected for each plate and film combination.
Robust for Reproducibility
A gas purge option allows for a heavy gas coating to be applied to the well surface prior to sealing, providing a protective barrier to the air void often left between sample and seal. With the gas applied prior to sealing, an oxygen-reduced or virtually oxygen-free space/ environment can be achieved.

Microplates:

- Suitable for polypropylene, polystyrene and polycarbonate and cyclin olefin copolymer (COC) plates
- Seals 24-, 48-, 96- and 384-well microplates

The Ultraseal™ Pro is compatible with wide range of seals, microplates and tube racks. It is both pneumatically and electrically operated, requiring both supplies to be readily available.
